Coronavirus Update
During this difficult time, we want to share with you how we as the children, young people and families teams at Newport Mind will be providing services for the forseeable future.
The health, safety and wellbeing of young people and their families are at the center of everything that we do and so we have decided, in light of the Governments advice, to suspend all face to face groups and meetings across our projects.
Instead, we are offering phone and email support, for anyone who has any questions about mental health and how to deal with this uncertain situation.
Our young volunteers will also be offering an online scheme called Write With You, to help keep connections going for anyone that finds themselves out of school, college and uni.
We will also be posting regularly on our Facebook page (@changingmindsprojects). Staff and volunteers will be posting blogs and helpful information about how to best promote positive mental health and wellbeing whilst social distancing/ social isolating. Be sure to follow us and let us know what content you would like to see/ hear about on the page!
For any young people that are already involved with our services, our project staff will be in touch to offer support virtually. If you are one of these young people and you haven't heard from us yet, please let us know and we will be in touch.
